LIVELIHOOD ASSISTANCE
PROGRAMME
Our Livelihood Assistance Programme provides failing households with a one-off or monthly conditional cash transfer to improve their livelihood initiatives.
Participants are enrolled on our programme for up to twelve months. It is our vision that after a maximum period of twelve months of assistance, a failing household will have developed robust livelihood activities and graduated to a higher food security level and become self-sufficient.
Monthly assistance is presently set at USh. 90,000 (approx. £20 GBP). This amount can be used to buy seeds and tools for crop cultivation in the wet season and for setting up cottage industries for the dry season.

We encourage participants on our programme to develop a diversified livelihood strategy that includes planting, gathering, trading and labouring.
